Subject structure
The course is divided into three modules:
- Front-end of the nuclear fuel cycle,
- Back-end of the nuclear fuel cycle, and
- In-core fuel management.
For the first two modules, the information available from the IAEA Integrated Nuclear Fuel Cycle Information System, which includes four databases, is an important part of the learning material.
The first two modules will develop a first finished product, a case study (divided into two parts, one case of each module).
Module 3, the second product will be carried out, another case study.
In a separate module, you will find the answers to the case studies, in order to verify the results at the end of the corresponding activities.
